Scope of Works
Original Scope
● Intake Works at Maara Manyi River
● Treatment Works of 15,000 m3/day
● 3 Km Raw Water Gravity main,
● 2 No Storage Tanks of 500 m3 each and 16.20 Km Treated water gravity mains ranging from 450mm- 150mm pipelines
Addendum No. 1
● 7.45km OD200/160mm Kairuni – Kabui water transmission pipeline,
● 100m3 RC tank at Chuka University-Chogoria Campus
● 5m3 masonry BPT at Nturiri Primary School
Impacts
.• The project has increased the water production for the County WSP ( NIWASCO)
• Created new employment for the staff, 10 staff expected to be employment for the plant
• Expected increased revenue for the WSP
Key Challenges
The WSP had a challenge on capacity to run the plant, but they are in the process of recruiting the staff for the same.
